—This committee shall receive proposed amendments and present them to the Board of Directors and to the members for consideration within thirty (30) days of the annual meeting or any regular meeting of the IANA.
—In emergency situations, upon recommendation of the IANA Board of Directors, this committee shall present to the IANA membership at any annual, regular, or special meeting any emergency bylaws and the reasons for them.  After having established a quorum, these emergency bylaws will be approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote.
—If amendments are made to the bylaws this committee shall have the bylaws reprinted with updated amendments every five years or sooner if recommended by this committee or the Board of Directors.

 

 

 

 

 

Finance Committee —

—This committee shall be composed of the Treasurer and two (2) active members, preferably past officers or former members of the Board of Directors.
—The committee shall be responsible for planning a budget and investigating expenses of the IANA.
—This committee shall be responsible for reviewing the report submitted by the independent auditing or reviewing firm and reporting the results to the Board of Directors.

—This committee shall work with and under the direction of the Board of Directors and the National Government Relations Committee in matters pertaining to legislation, regulatory agencies, and related activities, dealing with anesthesia practice.
—The chairperson shall be responsible to keep a manual of the current activities to forward to the next Government Relations Chairperson.

 

 

Political Action Committee (PAC) —

—This committee shall work in concert with the Government Relations Committee to provide PAC support for candidates and legislators friendly to the cause of CRNAs.
—It shall also be the responsibility of this committee to develop fundraising strategies and events that motivate members to contribute to the Illinois CRNA PAC fund on a regular basis.

 

 

 

Nominating Committee —

Committee Members:  —This committee shall be composed of three (3) active members elected at the annual meeting and shall elect its chairman from among its members.
—Not less than ninety (90) days prior to the annual meeting, the committee shall prepare and present to the Board of Directors a slate of Candidates nominated for the following offices:  President Elect, Secretary, and three (3) Directors in the odd numbered years and President-Elect, Treasurer, and four (4) Directors in the even years.
—This committee shall mail ballots to all IANA members not less than three (3) weeks prior to the annual meeting.

—This committee shall prepare subject to the approval of the Board of Directors, and in compliance with the AANA current criteria for Continuing Educational Standards, a complete program for the annual meeting and arrange for programs and place of meeting for general meeting during the year.

—This committee shall be composed of three (3) active members geographically distributed throughout the state of Illinois.
—This committee shall send notices of meeting dates and programs to local newspaper editors for publication.
—This committee shall be responsible, with the President’s approval, to send flowers and / or cards to ill or bereaved members.
