To All CRNAs Who Recertify In Odd Years
APN
license renewal with the state of Illinois takes place
in the even years. All CRNAs who recertify with
the Council on Recertification in odd years must
be aware of the following:
The
state of Illinois requires 50 CE credits to renew the
APN license. These credits must be earned between May
2004-May 2006.
If you
recertify with the Council on Recertification in the odd
years, 40 CE credits must be earned from August 1, 2003
- July 31, 2005.
This
means that any CE credits earned in 2003 that can be
used toward the CRNA recertification requirement
WILL NOT qualify for
use toward the 50 CE credits that the state of Illinois
requires.
If you
are interested in possibly aligning the CRNA
recertifcation period with the APN re-licensure year,
you MUST CONTACT the Council on Recertification.
Requests will be considered on an individual basis and
all practice and CE credit requirements must be met. |
